In addition to building a high performance patent prosecution team at Insight IP Attorneys, Xiang focuses on ensuring the existing clients’ total satisfaction, and building and developing collaborative relationships with new clients around the world. By providing innovative legal solutions in China, Insight IP Attorneys assists a wide range of local and international enterprises to achieve dominant patent positions in China.
Using in-depth legal knowledge and expertise of patent prosecution, Xiang has effectively assisted a wide variety of clients, such as government and university research labs, small and mid-sized enterprises, and multinational corporations, over the past decade. Xiang successfully represented clients before the Patent Appeal Board in Canada (59 C.P.R. (4th) 206) and the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences (BPAI) in the USA (2009-001247, 2009-010117, 2009-012630, 2010-001141, 2010-01078, and 2012-001088).
Prior to joining Insight IP, Xiang was a partner at one of the largest full-service law firms in Canada. Xiang has also worked at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ), the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada, and a multinational telecommunications manufacturer.
