Mr. Rose joined Insight IP in 2024. He specializes in patent prosecution, drafting, opposition and management in the fields of telecommunications, software, AI, computer and data-processing, mechanics, materials, and medical devices. With abundant experience in international patent practice, Mr. Rose prepares and procures patents via the PCT and Paris Convention in a variety of jurisdictions, including Europe, the UK, and the USA. His practice extends to legal opinions, infringement analysis and litigation, consultancy, and patenting strategies. 

Prior to joining Insight IP, Mr. Rose worked in house as senior IP counsel for Fortune 500 telecommunication companies in China for 10 years. He focused on standard essential patent prosecution, opposition, and litigation, as well as patent drafting, quality control, training and building intellectual property ecosystems. Mr Rose started his career in intellectual property in the UK in a patent and trade mark agency, before moving to China and Hong Kong where he headed the foreign patent department of a well-known patent agency.

Mr Rose also has significant experience of conducting trade mark searches, trade mark and design prosecution in the UK and in the EU.
